Monday
-Here we go with another school day! It is a beautiful day, but tomorrow it is supposed to be even more gorgeous! Made a breakfast pizza for breakfast. Soooo yummy. Started the morning with our WWN, independent work for some and group work for the rest of the kiddos.
-One of my daughters created this German Shepard in watercolor pencils. Isn’t it lovely!
-This week we had History and Music. Government & a little left from last year on Music Theory. My High Schoolers have Trigonometry, and Algebra 2….Yuck. Were just starting out but doing well with it. Today is Christopher Columbus Day. We talked briefly about him, but are saving him as our person for next week.
-After we did our schoolwork we went outside for the rest of the day! Rode bikes, jumped in leaves, and went for a walk. Beautiful Fall Day! Tonight was football night, so we made BBQ and fruit dip for dinner. Go Chiefs!
Tuesday
-We skipped school this morning to get out to the nature trail. (Well bookwork anyway, nature study time!) Oh my goodness, it was gorgeous! With all the leaves turning color’s and falling around us everywhere. It was a sight! The weather wasn’t to bad either. 70 for the high. Super nice! Then we went to the zoo, and had ice cream at A&W’s. Great day! Tonight is our movie night, so pizza & Pinocchio it is!We got back around naptime so after I layed the babies down we got on our schoolwork for today.
Wednesday
-Back to the books. Little bit colder today, not to bad though. Made stir fry for dinner, always a fam fav. Were working on Johnny Appleseed as our Men & Women of History this week. So we have all the projects, videos and books that I could possibly fit in.
My Little Golden Book About Johnny Appleseed by Lori Houran
Thursday
-Well, it snowed today. A couple weeks before Halloween and it snowed….. You know what this means don’t you? It’s gonna be freezing during trick or treating. Were we live it is cold anyway but now we have snow, Tuesday where did you go….sigh..
-Here is the beginning of the snow on my sweet Grogu Halloween Decoration…..Grogu soon fell over because of all the snow. Sad times. If you haven’t guessed, I am kind of a baby when it comes to cold weather…and I like the little cute green child. This is the way.
-Fixed my header issue on this blog today! WhooWhoo! Man, I was trying to figure out how to fix that for soooo long, and today I finally got it! Long story short….I was trying to install WooCommerce and somehow had an image show up on top of my header image. Like what??? I asked so many people and no one could help me. Then at the last minute I figured it out. Now I know.
-Channeled YT for a bit and got some great ideas from this Fall Montessori Inspired Activities video from Jada. Can’t wait to try the Scarecrow book and put him together with the felt activity. I thought that was a great idea! Picked up some great freebies from there as well!
-Made some crack chicken hoagies for dinner and they were great! Even my hubby liked them!
-Speaking of hubby, he went back to work tonight, so I got some blogging work done. But not to much, had to get to bed early. Just because I love sleep. Don’t you?

Friday
-Had a little one wake up starting about 5 or so, tossing his cookies. Nothing to major. About every hour we went through this. Complained of a headache a little bit. But he was in good spirits and played, laughed, and ate during the day.
-Stopped into the library this morning to return a playbook we picked up from last week. It was Power Rangers and I have a few kiddos who looovvveee them. After charging it for awhile, we realized the playbook didn’t work. I called the library and they said that they have not been holding up real well and to possibly try another one. Dropped off some more books that needed to go back.
-Me and my crew (me and some of my kiddos….9 of them.) ran into Joann’s to pick up some material and last minute items for our Halloween costumes. Of course I got yarn…..I mean, come on. So of course the yarn is my fav but this cup I picked up I love so much. It says fall…. Yes, I know it actually says, Good Morning Pumpkin. Isn’t, that cute?
My yarn was Red Heart in Coffee and also Red Heart in Monet. I got just enough of the Monet, that I think I am gonna knit up some arm mitts with it. I am currently working on a small blanket in an ice cream color, I think it is Sherbert. I went bonkers when all the ice cream colors came out. I probably bought at least one in every color!
-Grabbed a quick lunch at Mcd’s and headed home before naptime. (Little one has not got sick since breakfast.)
-Got some good ideas for our sensory bin. Gonna be using colored rice in orange. Used some little black glitter spiders leftover from last halloween and some cute little pumpkin buckets and cauldrons. Sooooo cute. Threw in some sensory tools, measuring cups, alligator tweezers and some dyed pasta for bats that I learned from here. Great idea! Next week I think we are gonna try dyed spaghetti.
-With all this snow I had to make soup! So tomato soup for dinner.Yum!
Saturday
-I should really buy some fall candles. I usually burn a candle in the mornings when I get up but I still have a bunch of my spring flower scents. Which are my favorite, but fall is here. The coffee cup in this picture is also one of my fav’s.
-It’s french toast for breakfast this morning.
-Leftover tomato soup for lunch with Baked Potato n Salad for dinner.
-Helped with notepads and stickers for my daughters shop today. All other orders this week so far are digitals. Which is great! My shop just came back from vacation, and doing really well. Here are some of the things that sold this week.
-Several Color Sheets
-and Popcorn Notepads
–Princess Birthday Photo Props in numbers #1 and #6 both in the 16 in Tall
–Red Glittered Table Decorations in the 50 set 16 in Tall
–Leopard Prop #1 in the 16 in Tall
-Finally stopped snowing, but I wish it would of taken the cold back with it. Worked on designing some new christmas notepads and finished up my sunflower design on a birthday photo prop I was working on.
Sunday
-What is better than BBQ twice a week? Yep, we had BBQ again this week. We pretty much only have BBQ when our team is playing. They played twice this week, so because of you Chiefs, we have had it twice now. It is ok, it is Yummy! Started that meat before Church so our home smelled great when we got back. We were hungry to! Does anyone else just feel incredibly hungry after Church?
-Took pictures of the new designs from yesterday and might get them up and listed today.
-I have a kiddo taking Chemistry next year and stumbled upon this book from 1plus1plus1 over on Instagram.
Napoleon’s Buttons by Penny LeCouteur
So I am gonna have to pick that up and give it a try. Anyone else read this book or might possible be over the moon for this new book like I am? I can also get it on Audible! Thanks for sharing with us!
Books we read this week:
For school and for funzies. Here are some of the books we read this week.
Mama’s Books:
Caroline by Sarah Miller
I could not wait to read this book when it first came out. This is the second time I have read it and truly enjoyed it. This book has a grown up feel (not for kiddos to read in some parts). The Ingalls family are on their way to Kansas territory. With only Laura and Mary this journey is being told from Caroline herself. First time I listened to it on Audible because I could not wait for it to get here. Then I read the book. Its definitely staying on my bookshelf. I hope you enjoy it!
Large Family Logistics by Kim Brenneman
Another good favorite of mine. I usually read this every few months or so. Homemaking books are some of my most favorite so I read them over and over. I feel like this book is hard to find. I finally found it at my library and if I ever see it at a yard sale or something I’m gonna buy it.
I am currently listening to this book on Audible:
