Chiefs won the Superbowl!! WhooWhoo! Go Chiefs! My daughter sketched this amazing pic of Mahomes. Here is how some of my week went.

Monday

-About a week or two ago I bought my first order from Hello Bello. That order came in today in an adorable box! Such cute prints! I love the pink swans and the blue football prints. We mostly cloth diaper but I buy regular diapers also and just use them whenever I want. I also picked up some kids shampoo and detangler & wipes. I don’t think I will keep them on a monthly subscription but I do like them and see myself ordering again in the future for sure!

-We are off this week for school, then we are going strong every week till our vacation and then taking two weeks off for that. WhooWhoo! We also celebrated a birthday this week! Happy Birthday, Sweetiepie Honeybunch!

Tuesday

Storks Movie

-Tonight is our Movie Night so we had pizza from Little Ceasers delivered and watched Storks. Hilarious movie! “Baby Powder”….best line in the movie.

-We just finished up Shel Silverstein and next week our person we are studying about is Martin Luther King Jr. Have a ton of material on him considering we have him about this same time every year. Coretta as well! So I am pulling some of that material together.

Runny Babbit

Added this new Runny Babbit book to our home library this week just because of Shel. What a crazy book to read. I messed up alot and we had alot of laughs.

-So much snow all the time…. We get a break for a couple of days then it snows for a couple of days. I don’t mind it so much till it gets right here to the end and I know Spring is coming. Spring is my fav season!

Wednesday

-Still rolling with G&B. I really like it. I wasn’t sure I was gonna stick with it, but were still rocking it. We are using The Good & The Beautiful from 5th grade down to K. I really like the short lessons for the littles. 5th grade Math seems to take longer ,but really only on new concepts. My little guy does great with it! Although, I have liked it so well I have nooooo idea what were gonna do for next year’s Math & Language.(For 6th Grade) I usually stick with Abeka for Language and we used to do SOS. Then it was Teaching Textbooks for about a year or two. I might go back to TT for his Math, we will see. Anyway, today I am printing off all our new worksheets for next week, 5th grade on down.

Inspirational Homemaking Post I Read This Today: 8 Things Intentional Homemakers Do Every Day by Richly Rooted

Read them all but #5 really stuck out for me. It is : They Course Correct.

Your mundane daily actions might seem unimportant, but in reality everything you do shapes you to become either a matriarch or a martyr. The matriarch is the woman you want to be.”

I love that! That is so powerful for me. Strive to be the Woman You Want To Be! Anyway, It’s a good read, go check it out! She also has a book called Your Simple Home Handbook.

Thursday

-Alot of our water shoes came in today for our vacation in about a month. They all seem to fit everyone and I don’t have to get new ones. First try…WhooWhoo! Although my husband’s came in and they were too small. So I reordered those and we should be good now! Also had to pick up some more luggage today at Walmart. Ours were getting pretty used and beat up looking.

Friday

-Put my chicken in the crockpot this morning for my homemade chicken n noodles for dinner. Yuuummm! Donuts for breakfast this morning! There is nothing and I mean Nothing that tastes like a homemade donut! We will have deli cut turkey sandwiches for lunch.

-Had to glue some notepads during naptime because I forgot to get to them last night. After I set a bread to rise I finished up those and then put in a Hobby Lobby order. Who doesn’t love Hobby Lobby??? My daughters whipped up some no bake cookies and after that I finished up in the kitchen making my noodles for dinner. I was gonna try to mop my floors before my littles got up from nap but ran out of time. It’s ok, it can wait for now. We were reading alonnggg time this afternoon. Even though were not doing actual bookwork this week, we are still reading. Here are some of the books some of us are currently reading in our lovely little homeschool….

-Finishing up some Shel Silverstein Classics

The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn

The Shakespeare Stealer

Anne of Windy Poplars

-Through Flood & Flame

Carry on Mr. Bowditch

What Was the Titanic?

Johnny Tremain

The Witches

What Was the Vietnam War?

Charlie & the Charlie Factory

A couple of my kiddos are going through all Roald Dahl Books and loving it! The What Was & Who Was Series are alwayssss on someone’s book list around here. One child is reading everything about Shakespeare that we can get our hands on and we have a bunch of Abeka Chapter books from years past that my oldies go through in highschool. Such as Flood & the Flame. Some kiddos don’t care for them and some have found them interesting.

-For Mama: I’m still listening to The Four Winds on Audible. Taking me alloonngg time on this one. Glad I am listening to it though because I feel like I would have stopped reading this if it was my book book. Plus I still have Daily Wisdom for Biblical Womanhood in my Bible Study every morning. So many books, not enough time…

Saturday

-Another Inspirational Homemaking Post I found is from The Fewell Homestead. The Lost Skill of Serving your Family. I loved it so much! Beautifully written and such an inspiration. I also have Amy’s book, The Homesteaders Herbal Companion and before we get our homestead, will be buying her Homesteader’s Chicken Book as well.

-During naptime I set out a bunch of kiddo outfits and took pics to list on my Kidizen account. Just listed a couple on Ebay. Some of my older girls dresses and such things.

Sunday

-Church today. No football though…this is weird. But anyway, I’m gonna be busy today cleaning out our sunroom and meal prepping for next week.

-Tonight I packaged up a bunch of our Etsy orders from this past week, answered emails & comments, and unpacked some packing supplies that came in this week. Had four orders from our second shop that were not quit ready, but should go out in about 3 days.

Here are some of the items that sold this week:
